3 Ways to Deal With a Teething Baby

A teething baby can cause everyone in your house to lose sleep each night and feel more vulnerable than ever. If your baby is dealing with teething pain and discomfort and you can’t seem to soothe them to sleep, try these following methods.

  1. Cold Washcloths
As your baby is teething, their baby teeth are breaking through their gums which causes constant discomfort. However, by biting on something both soft and cold, your baby can help to naturally break the gums surface while also getting some relief at the same time. As an all-natural method, simply wet a washcloth with cold water and place it in the freezer for 10-20 minutes and then allow your baby to chew on it.
  2. Children’s Tylenol
Often times, teething babies will break a fever. To help bring down your baby’s fever and to help ease any of the associated teething pain, ask your pediatrician about giving your baby a small dose of Children’s Tylenol. Although giving your infant any sort of medication might be the last thing you want to do, given in the right dosage and with the approval of your pediatrician, Children’s Tylenol shouldn’t cause your child any harm.
  3. Teething Toys
Teething toys have come a long way in the past few years. Now available in things like teething necklaces, wooden teethers, gel teethers, and silicone teethers, it can seem like there is a teether suitable for every type of parent. Try allowing your baby to chew on a teething toy— under your supervision— and see if they take to it. If they enjoy chewing on it, then you may have found your golden ticket. If not, then try the above two suggestions instead.

Help ease your little one’s pain and discomfort with the above three teeth suggestions. Whether they can’t seem to sleep at night, are running a fever, or are just fussy overall, these tips can help your little one to feel like their true self once again.
